'Easy Action'

Warner Brothers, USA, 1970

THERE IS no getting away from it - the Alice Cooper Band were bout to embark on a roller coaster ride to stardom but not with this their second album. At this time they were still a struggling band form Los Angeles. The band and producer David Briggs did not see eye to eye with the production - in fact the recordings were actually jettisoned in favour the band's rehearsal tapes. Some weird and wacky tracks here including 'Mr & Misdemeanor', 'Refrigerator Heaven' and 'Return Of The Spiders'.

This is a hard to find original pressing 1970s pressing on the Green Warner Brothers label. 

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Pressing: Warner Brothers, USA, 1970 - Orig Green label

Vinyl: Only light signs of use. Can't see any spindle marks on the labels but the surface displays a typical mottled effect visible on all US pressings of this period (a result, I've learn't, of the releasing agent used when pressed). Does not effect playback and is not in any way visible except in very strong light. Grades as top Ex

Cover: Again, virtually no signs of any use. Housed in a beautifully designed gatefold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, extremely faint, almost invisible actually, ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is straight and stiff. Impossible to find like this after 48 years. Displays just a hint of storage wear. Grades as Ex+
