ALICE COOPER “Pretties For You” rare Cdn psych lp M-

1972/Cdn/warner Bros. WS 1840….. here’s a clean and quite rare early Canadian pressing of their first lp originally released in 1969. The gatefold cover is in Excellent condition, there are a few light small spots of aging/staining, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no delete, writing, splits, or any other issues! The vinyl is in M- condition and was played maybe a couple of times. This pressing is clean and the labels are clean with no wear or spindle marks! A sweet copy of this rare lp for your collection! Pretties for You was the debut album by Alice Cooper. At this time, the name Alice Cooper referred to the band, not its lead singer. The music has a psychedelic flavor to it. The group had yet to develop the more concise hard rock sound that they would become known for. Very few songs have had some sort of hard rock quality. For example the spacy hard rock song "Fields of Regret", the bluesly "Sing Low, Sweet Cheerio", and a song that sounds a lot like Alice's music later on with the band, a live version of "Levity Ball". The song "Reflected", Alice Cooper's first single, was later rewritten as "Elected" (which featured on their 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies). The artwork for this album was hanging on the wall of the living room in Frank Zappa's house. The original painting was done by Ed Beardsley.

MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
