Description

Up for bid is an original 3 piece vinyl set of Casey's Coast to Coast American Top 40 from January 27, 1973. This set includes the 3 vinyl LP records along with the Program Guide for that week. At # 40 this week was "I'll be your shelter" by Luther Ingram. At # 1 that week is "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. In addition to the 3 vinyl LP records and the Program Guide, this set also includes a Memo from Tom Rounds at Watermark Inc. that describes the programming changes for the 1973 Schedule. All of these paper pieces are in very good condition. The Vinyl is in excellent condition and plays very nicely without any noise. This is a very RARE set from 1973 as this is when the changes went into play at Watermark to revise the mastering and pressing procedures.Tom talks about this in the memo that is included. Also included is a rate card that promotes the new 8 track studio that Lee Hansen(Watermark's New Director of Creative Services) talks about. 8-Track was just getting started in the early 70's and Lee Hansen used this promotional rate card in this issue of American Top 40. The rate card is in excellent condition and shows  Studio Rates and pricing for Tape Duplication at that time in history.
This very rare set is a "MUST" for collectors of this era.
