Thank you for viewing my listings. On this site, I have decided to list records that are at least excellent\excellent plus  condition only  All of the records will be play tested at loud volume prior to listing on a top system. I will describe the audio quality as honest as possible and as I hear it. Very rare original 1st UK pressing  and absolutely top audio throughout! And the original (Mono) the only way to hear this in my opinion! This copy boasts of having no clicks or pops throughout audio or signs that this has been overplayed please read audio review below! This is also complete with the original poly lined  Emitex record sleeve and original Garrod & Lofthouse cover! Please do not underestimate the rarity of this album in this great condition! Please remember this is the original mono and their 1st ever album, becoming very highly sought after and very collectable! and extremely scarce to find like this difficult to believe this is 46 years old!

The Animals were an English music group of the 1960s that was part of the British Invasion. Known for their gritty, bluesy sound and deep-voiced frontman Eric Burdon, as exemplified by their signature song "House of the Rising Sun", the band balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm and blues-oriented album material. The Animals underwent numerous personnel changes and emerged as an exponent of psychedelic rock before dissolving at the end of the decade.

The Animals is the Animals' UK debut album, released in 1964. It differed in contents from the group's U.S. debut album, the identically-titled The Animals.

The Vinyl

This is the original 1st press HEAVY and thicker type of vinyl only found on 1st pressings later pressings were much flimsier. Also these have deeper grooves! From my experience these originals produce the best audio quality and can not be surpassed.

On visual inspection this vinyl in my opinion has not been overplayed retaining its original super gloss from new and looks superb!!! Viewing the vinyl under strong light reveals very (very) few fine wispy surface marks (mainly sleeve removal only) which have very little if (no) effect on the awesome audio that I heard at all!!!!.

Audio

I have played this vinyl track for track prior to listing at very loud volume on a dedicated Mono system! This audio is truly stunning\awesome crystal clear and very vibrant with no signs of groove wear or that this has been overplayed at all. A superb MONO example!! There are (no) loud clicks or pops during the play and no surface noise on my system indeed quite unbelievable for a vinyl that is 46 years old, certainly (no) skips or jumps!  I only heard 4 very light ticks at the start of Track one side one. Also on the run off at the end of side two there is a surface mark that causes 2 pops but only after the music has finished. Apart from this the album plays near to perfect on my system! Even between tracks and surface noise is absolutely minimal! The vast majority of the audio is near mint but I will grade as EX +.

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have given my honest opinion when describing the audio quality of this vinyl. Please allow for the odd static ticks\crackle! (not) consistent throughout the audio.

The Labels

These are the original Columbia labels in superbe condition.  Features ''sold in the uk...''' across the labels (only 1st press) ''Made in England'' (only UK press) Some spidering can be seen angled to the light, these black Columbia labels are very unforgiving, but nothing that would suggest the record having been over played, there is little if (no) spindle are the hole is perfectly round! The labels also feature the mis-spelling of Eric Burdons name in the credits for 'The Story of Bo Diddley' it is printed as 'Burden'

The Record Sleeve

This is the original Emitex poly lined sleeve with ''Important.. take care of you microgroove records.....'' no splits or tares just very very light staining \fading with very minimal creasing absolutely in superb condition considering the age of the album.

The Cover

This is the original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated front flipback cover. Hardly any laminate creasing to speak of, super glossy laminate barely any ring wear can be seen even in angled light. Very light storage wear to the corners bottom right the spine is nice and square with all writing perfectly clear and readable. Very very hard to find like this after 42 years!

The rear is exceptionally clean I can only see about 3 minor laminate creases on one flipback. At some point the cover has been pinned to a wall and there are 2 tiny pin marks barely noticeable on the front and appearing as two dot marks on the rear top flipback.  I will grade the Cover as at least Ex but in reality probably a lot better if you accept the tiny pin marks. The cover also features the mis-spelling of Eric Burdons name in the credits for 'The Story of Bo Diddley' it is printed as 'Burden'

THIS ALBUM WILL BE SENT IN A LARGE BOX WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS THE VINYL AND COVER WILL BE INSERTED SEPARATELY IN POLY SLEEVES AND WRAPPED WITH PLENTY OF BUBBLEWRAP FOR ADDED PROTECTION.
