ITEM: " 6 Suites for Unaccompanied Cello " , by Johann Sebastian Bach. Anner Bylsma, Cellist. Bylsma plays a cello of Mattio Goffriller built in 1699 in Venice, and an historic violoncello piccolo from South Tyrol, ca. 1700. Pro Arte label, catalog number 3PAL-3001.
COMMENTS/CONDITION: This Box Set came from a private collection. It is not a beat up record bought at a yard sale. The records were visually graded, and spot checked test played. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.
Album contains the original Program Notes Booklet, in excellent near mint condition. No rips, creases, or writing.
The LPs are in strong VG+ condition, with nice full gloss luster. A close inspection under a bright light source revealed wispy scuffs and fine hairlines which appear cosmetic. There were no warps, cracks, chips, deep scratches, or groove wear.
I spot checked the LPs by playing several short segments from all six sides. The short segments tested played quietly, with excellent sound quality. There were no tics, pops, skips, or audible surface noise. NOTE: All stereo systems are different. These comments are made for reference only, and are not a statement as to the results you may have from your equipment. If there are problems that noticeably affect the playing of the records, you may return the set in the same condition as shipped.
The presentation box is in very good condition with excellent corners, seams, and hinge. There is minor scuff / rub wear and shallow scratch marks on the bottom edge. Box lid closes snugly. Cover colors and graphics are crisp and bright with no fading.
