DESCRIPTION
Annie Ross featuring Zoot Sims - “A Singer, A Swinger, A Gasser!” World Pacific Records WP-1285 (Mono) from 1959. Great Female Jazz Vocal Album from Annie Ross with accompaniment from Zoot Sims plus Jim Hall, Bill Perkins, Russ Freeman, Mel Lewis, Monte Ludwig, Frank Capp and Billy Bean. Russ Freeman does the Arrangements. On the hard to find Original Deep Groove World Pacific Mono Black with Silver Print labels.
CONDITION
The Sleeve shows some basic ring and edge shelf wear and a bit of corner softening. There is a red dot sticker wrapping around the spine - should be easy to remove if you want. There is about a 3/4” split in the lower right corner and a crease in that corner as well. Still very solid with no other writing, splits, tears, stains, cutouts, etc. and I would still say it should rate VG+ overall. The Vinyl itself is in Glossy condition and I don’t think it was ever actually played much at all. If you really look closely you can spot a couple scuffs and small hairlines but they are super minor and, as the record plays pretty much perfectly, I think it should still rate Near Mint. The labels show a few light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
