139. ANTIQUE CHARLES D’ALMAINE 78 RPM RECORD ~ VERY EARLY VICTOR (MONARCH) NO. 1209
US AND CANADIAN BIDDERS ONLY, PLEASE.
DESCRIPTION:
Vintage 78 rpm record, item is single-sided and is on an early Victor Monarch Records label (label is black with gold print), item has spoken announcement at beginning, and this item probably dates from about 1902.

VICTOR MONARCH 1209 “Hearts and Flowers”. “1-21-02”, “2S”, title, and band are written in wax, show through label
THIS 100+ YEAR OLD RECORD IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT STILL HAS A SOMEWHAT SHINY SURFACE AND PLAYS LOUDLY WITH LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE (some pops, ticks, static).
MEASUREMENTS:
This item measures 10 inches in diameter.
CONDITION ISSUES:
Visible wear (light scratches and scuffs) on this item, very small surface dimples, some light label wear and fading, and light needle runs on playing surface that produce quiet pops and ticks.
