Description
RELEASED IN THE UK IN 1969 BY PAGE ONE RECORDS (CAT NO POLS 016), THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE POLS-016-1Y AND POLS-016-2Y. THIS RARE 12 TRACK ALBUM IS IN FAIR TO GOOD CONDITION. BOTH SIDES OF THE RECORD PLAY RIGHT THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKS, BUT WITH A LOT OF CRACKLE , AND SOME BACKGROUND NOISE. THERE IS A VERY NOTICEABLE SCUFF MARK ON SIDE 2 OF THE RECORD, IT LOOKS MUCH WORSE THAN NORMAL SCUFFS, BUT IT DOES NOT CAUSE ANY SKIPS, STICKS OR JUMPS. SIDE 1 HAS A FEW SURFACE MARKS BUT NOTHING TOO SERIOUS. THE SLEEVE IS STRONG CARDBOARD, AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE, THE SPINE IS INTACT(SEE PHOTO), AND THERE ISN'T ANY WRITING ANYWHERE ON THE SLEEVE. THERE IS A BROWN STAIN, ( FROM EITHER TEA OR COFFEE), ON THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER OF THE ALBUM, AND SOME LIGHT CREASING, BUT ALL IN ALL IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE TURQUOISE CENTRE LABLES ARE ALSO IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITHOUT ANY WRITING OR STAINS. I HAVE DESCRIBED THE ALBUM AS BEST I CAN, AND HAVE TRIED TO SHOW THE MARKS AND STAINS ON THE SEVEN PHOTOS THAT I HAVE ATTACHED. PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY OTHER QUERIES YOU MAY HAVE.

Apple were a British psychedelic rock band. The band was founded in Cardiff in 1968 by Rob Ingram on guitar and Jeff Harrad on bass. They released a single LP in 1969, titled An Apple a Day. The album was a commercial failure, and the band ceased to exist shortly after its release. However, during the subsequent years several tracks from the LP, most notably "The Otherside" by Harrad, were dubbed classics of British psychedelic rock by critics, making An Apple a Day one of the most sought-after British psychedelic rarities.
The original vinyl version (released by Page One Records) is now extremely hard to find. A reissue by Repertoire Records was released in 1994, which included several bonus songs (those being early mono versions of some of the album's tracks).
