Description
Ariel was an Australianprogressive rock band based around the duo Mike Rudd and Bill Putt, who formed the band in 1973 after the breakup of their previous group Spectrum (which also performed under the alter-ego Indelible Murtceps). The original Ariel line-up was Rudd (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Putt (bass), Tim Gaze (guitar), Nigel Macara (drums) and John Mills (keyboards). Gaze and Macara were recruited from seminal Australian progressive rock band Tamam Shud.The band released three studio albums and two live albums between 1973 and 1977, during which there were several line-up changes, with Rudd and Putt the only permanent members. Other members of Ariel included guitarists Harvey James and Glyn Mason and keyboard player Tony Slavich.

Record gradings are as follows:-
MINT-record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other items present such as lyric sheet, posters etc are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT-record shows some signs of having been played, but there is is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Could have very faint surface marks or very faint minor scratches or finger marks. Cover and other items might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD-record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and light scratching. Normal wear and tear on cover and extra items, without major defects.
GOOD-record played so much that sound quality is deteriorated. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, discolouration etc.
FAIR-record is just playable, displays considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents are torn, stained and/or defaced.
