ART BLAKEY: "A NIGHT AT BIRDLAND WITH THE ART BLAKEY QUINTET - VOLUME 1" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, BLP 1521.  Original '56 USA MONO vinyl FLAT EDGE pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC address on both labels.  DEEP GROOVE labels on both sides.  "EAR" & RVG etched in the trail-off on both sides.  Heavy vinyl, thick cardboard cover.  Liner notes by Leonard Feather.  The personnel:  Clifford Brown/trumpet; Lou Donaldson/alto sax; Horace Silver/piano; Curly Russell/bass; Art Blakey/drums.  The vinyl is in VG++ to VG+ condition (beautiful high sheen)!  The thick cover is in VG++ shape, bright & clean, displays nicely.  Original owner's signature written in thin ballpoint pen on back.  No cut-out markings, no seam splits, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  The songs are:  Split Kick; Once In A While; Quicksilver; A Night In Tunisia; Mayreh.
