Note: As a long-time jazz collector, I know how frustrating it can be to have a record in beautiful condition, but the dust jacket is worn and does not match the disc. Over the years, I have collected many original jazz dust jackets that are in beautiful condition, thinking I'd eventually find a disc to match. Well, I don't have time to do that anymore, so I'm going to sell off some of my choice jackets.
The price of these jackets is minimal compared to the added value that you will get from upgrading your current, worn out jacket. A jazz record's overall value and desirability is based on the attractiveness of the cover. A nice record with a worn cover is like a beautiful smile with a front tooth missing. Here's a great opportunity to get that fine jacket to match your fine disc. If you have a nice record to match this jacket, you will easily double your investment in added value to the overall album.
Condition: This cover is in beautiful condition, one of the nicest I've come across in 30 years of collecting. Still in the original, opened shrink wrap, it's beautifully preserved. No ring wear, no tears or losses. The lamination is beautiful, retains its original high gloss shine, no rubbing. Seams are perfect, no splits or wear. Corners are perfect, except one with the tiniest of rubs (see photo), its only real detraction, which is minor. The back is bright and clean, unmarked. The shrink wrap has caused a slight "dishing" to the cover, but if you were to remove the shrink wrap, I'm sure it would flatten out just fine. A really stunning cover! Impossible to upgrade.
Grade: Near Mint (NM)
