Description

ART PEPPER MEETS THE RHYTHM SECTION (Contemporary CYX-7018 REEL-TO-REEL TAPE in ORIGINAL BOX, 1957): Box is VG/better w/sm. # written upper left (see 1st photo) and a couple of tears (see upper right of 2nd photo); tape appears VG or better with original reel label intact.

From the era before the advent of the compact cassette, here's a scarce reel-to-reel tape of a legendary 1957 session led by brilliant saxophonist Art Pepper, backed by "The Rhythm Section": Red Garland (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and "Philly Joe" Jones (drums).  These three luminaries backed Miles Davis for a couple of years, and they're excellent behind Art!  Low opening bid without reserve...one only!
