Description
For auction is the ART PEPPER QUINTET's "Smack Up," on Contemporary S7602, Stereo, DG, 1962. With Jack Sheldon, Pete Jolly, Jimmy Bond & Frank Butler.
SOUND: NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The record sounds brilliant, sharp and clean! No reservations.
VINYL: VG+/NM-
There are s few superficial scuffs or hairline marks either side. Nothing that can be felt or affect playback. Vinyl is glossy and overall good condition. The labels are lovely, with deep grooves. On black labels.
JACKET: VG+ or better
The jacket is nice! the bottom edge and spine are excellent; the top edge is beginning to fray in the center (about one inch). Corners are very nice, with the most minimal wear. Front cover is clean and unmarked, in very good condition. Back cover has some writing across the top in both pen and marker. Otherwise very clean and very good condition.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
