Der gefragte Arthur Grumiaux war in einer sehr sentimentalen Stimmung, als er die neunundzwanzig Werke für dieses LP-Paar (Analogphonic LP 43107) auswählte. Das vorherrschende Tempo ist Andante, die überwiegende Stimmung eine von schwerer Süße - die Art vom Material, um ein Publikum nach dem Konzert nicht mit zu hohem Puls nach Hause zu schicken. Es gibt natürlich schöne Momente. Das Mozart Rondo ist hell, klar und gut geplant; Granados' Danza espanola No. 5 ("Andaluza") ist warm und unwiderstehlich, mit seiner kleinen großen Kadenz so magisch wie eh und je; Kreislers "Schön Rosmarin" ist betörend.—High Fidelity


The good Arthur Grumiaux was in a very sentimental mood when he chose the twenty-nine works for this pair of discs. The prevailing pace is andante, the prevailing mood one of heavy sweetness - the stuff to send an audience out not with pulses pounding. There are, of course, nice moments. A Mozart Rondo is bright, articulate, and well planned: Granados' Danza espanola No. 5 ("Andaluza") is warm and compelling, with its minor major cadence as magical as ever: Kreisler's "Schön Rosmarin" is beguiling.—High Fidelity
