Description
Here is total classic and an essential part of any UK freakbeat/mod/soul collection! The Artwoods were one of those bands that seemed to be everywhere in the sixties, but amazingly never managed to score a hit single. That is certainly not a reflection on the quality of their recordings, which were always nothing less than amazing. This is one of the best tracks they recorded, with a great prominent bass guitar part and lively shouted harmony vocals- a really fast, rocking track. The b side is the off colour classic "I'm looking for a saxophonist doubling french horn wearing size 37 boots!"
Although it pains me to mention it (their music is achievement enough, in my opinion), it is probably worth noting that of the band, Keef Hartley went on to John Mayall, and solo infamy, Jon Lord went on to play with Deep Purple, and Art Wood was the elder brother of Ron Wood, of the Birds, Creation and Rolling Stones.
This is a great chance to get a nice copy of a hard to find dancefloor filler at any mod or soul night! Don't miss out. This copy is a nice vg, and plays great!
