Description
Super recording of this Strauss opera with the unbeatable VPO. This is an old record that has been played a lot though. Consequently there is some low level surface noise audible during quiet passages & some distortion on the loudest transient peaks throughout. There are 5 very light ticks at 16.05 of Record 1 / Side 2 followed by 4 more at 16.35. The covers are rather fragile but intact with quite a bit of discolouration on the the reverse sides. Includes original inner sleeves.
All records are vacuum cleaned on a KAB ev-1 record cleaner & listened through to once in their entirety with a new Ortofon stylus. Records are removed from sleeves before posting in custom mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records are placed in a brand new inner sleeve & the whole package placed in a polythene sleeve to protect it in transit. I'm always happy to combine postage. For purchases totalling over £46 I recommend taking out additional insurance which only costs an extra £2 or £3.
