Description

RARE ASD 426 STEREO

Note: In my attempts to remove some of the doubt of buying records via the web without being able to see or hear them I aim to provide good photos, and in some cases sound clips as well, but I don't always have time to do that. I know this to be a very rare and collectable LP so I have taken the trouble to provide as much information as possible. I like people to be able to make a proper judgement before placing a bid.

Welcome to my auction for this rare and collectable vinyl LP   BEETHOVEN - SYMPHONY NO.3 'EROICA'
Performed by The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rudolf Kempe     Condition

Outer and inner sleeves  EX+ (see photos) - tidy, clean and sharp. Very nice for age.

Vinyl   EX+  plays well both sides and looks nice with only a few visible marks when looked at closely. I have recorded both sides of the vinyl which you can hear using the links below. This gives you the buyer the chance to make your own minds up. There are a few light ticks but these are fairly minor, but I have to mention them. The best thing is for you to have a listen to the files which should auto start in Media Player or whatever music program you have installed on your computer.

A VERY RARE LP AND A STUNNING PERFORMANCE AND RECORDING.

Click to hear whole of side two

If the links above do not work for you please request that I send the mp3 files another way. It is important for me to know that all people interested in buying this rare LP can hear the recordings before placing bids.

The winning bidder will receive a cdr recording of the vinyl lp itself...

If you have any questions please just get in touch.

Thanks

Notes and Miscellaneous Information

Vinyl Grading Guideline for Classical LP's.

Due to the age and rarity of classical and other old LP's and the challenge of grading them fairly I have arrived at a grading system which I apply solely to classical records as shown below. Quite often I will grade them on a track by track or 'band' basis given that some can be perfect whilst others may have the odd 'tick' or other sound. The basic grading guide can also be applied to all other vinyl records listed here.

I will always endeavour to provide good clear photos of the vinyl and the sleeve and will always be the actual item and not someone else's or a stock photo. I realise the doubts in buyers minds of 'buying blind' over the internet so I try to minimise this.

Mint  I use this to describe items where the record and sleeve are sealed

Mint- The record and sleeve have been opened but never or rarely played and showing no visible wear in either case

Near Mint The record and sleeve are very close to new, the record will have been played but with no lessening in visible or audible sound quality.

Near Mint- The record and sleeve are very close to new, the record will have been played with no lessening in visible or audible sound quality with the exception of maybe one or two occassional soft 'ticks'.

Excellent+  The record will have a good clean surface and play perfectly well with visible signs of having been played. There may be passages of soft 'ticks' (where these are more than just 'soft' I will specify). There may in a few cases be one or two audible 'pressing pops' which will be part of the original pressing. An excellent sleeve may have some creases, laminate lift but will usually be very minor in nature.

Very Good+ The record will show signs of previous ownership as will the sleeve. There may longer passages of ticks (but will specify of these run into long periods). The sleeve may have some small pen writing (perhaps a name or a date) usually on the rear.

I generally do not offer up for sale records which fall below Very Good+.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

Refunds and returns.

If you receive an item which you feel falls way below how I described it I am happy to negotiate a suitable return and refund agreement. In general I will refund the full amount including shipping (but will not pay for the return shipping costs). If an item sells for over £50 I will also deduct my ebay seller fees from the refund amount.

I take great care to assess the quality and condition of all items I list for sale. If you do receive an item that you are unhappy with please contact me first before leaving feedback. There will usually be an amicable solution.

Thanks
