This is a rare vinyl test pressing of the 2020 Robert & Leopold reissue of / Akifumi Nakajima's project Aube's 1992 album Spindrift
"Official reissue of Spindrift, the legendary noise album by renowned Japanese experimental artist Aube. Originally released in 1992 as a limited edition cassette, Spindrift was simultaneously the debut of Aube's own label imprint, G.R.O.S.S., which led to the worldwide exposure of the Japanese noise genre and the aesthetic curation of Akifumi Nakajima. Remastered for vinyl by Josh Bonati and includes a new essay by Satoru Higashiseto."
"Taking a minimalist approach for his recordings, Nakajima used simple source sounds which were fed into his system, then heavily processed into a vast dimensional landscape of sonic textures. Source sounds ranged from the organic sounds of gurgling water, to isolating elements of technology, such as the curious hum of luminous lamps."
