POLYDOR 583065 (UK) 1969
the very rare (almost immediately withdrawn) first Audience LP including delightfully raw and formative versions of some of the memorable songs soon to resurface on their first two Charisma LPs Friend's Friend's Friend and The House On The Hill
the ultimate in difficult UK prog rarities, this one is next to impossible to find with a nice cover, due to the extremely fragile nature of its design and manufacture - the all black sleeve has a most unusual 'furry' texture - this incredible example is virtually as new!
lovely LP with some of the finest reed and woodwind work of the progressive era by Keith Gemmell, unique vocals and 'gut'-stringed acoustic guitar from Howard Werth - also the highly distinctive bass guitar and drums of Trevor Williams and Tony Connor

never on a turntable - there are NO spindle marks whatsoever - even the original 'slithers' of plastic, from when the discs are first pressed, remain undisturbed, after more than 36 years, at the perimeter of the side two spindle hole - perfect and as new
cover
very near mint
fine, unmarked 'furry' matt finish to the front and rear 'blacklite' sleeve - nice, sharp, square corners with nothing in the way of bumps - absolutely razor-sharp opening edges (see photo) - tight seams with NO shelf wear - great flat undamaged spine - all lettering crystal-clear, bright and sharp - the cover is exceptional and unbelievable for such a fragile all-black unlaminated design - as new condition - there is no circular wear to the front or rear - a super example of this rare gem - try looking at this album cover under 'black' light - amazing!
