This is one of the finest organ records on the planet. Comparable in large measure to the Dupre series on Mercury and the Town Halls of Thomas Murray.
It features Torvald Toren playing music of Franck, on the Organs of Hedvig Eleonora and Katarina Churches, in Stockholm. The wonder of it all, I tell you, comes in the capturing by Bertil Alving, who simply used a modifed Revox A77 with B&K 4165 condensers. The rest is simply the best mastering, plating and pressing in the business, not an ounce of sound wasted.
So, look to find the “right” volume, the perfect place, as Toren delivers PIECE HEROIQUE, PRIERE, FINAL, and CANTABILE. (When you find the proper volume, you will know…the church acoustic "right there" before you, the organ speaking glory.)
Never individually shrink-wrapped, this copy is one of the only Proprius audiophile editions ever made on virgin vinyl, here mint. (It has never seen a turntable.)
Entirely worthy of the finest hi-fi system, and a “must have” for any organ aficionado.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
