Adorable: Sunshine Smile (U.K. 1992 Creation Original)
As a big fan of adorable from the word go I bought this on its release after seeing them live at the Joiners Arms in Southampton. Sunshine Smile was a live favourite and classic non album track that never actually made it onto the debut album, Against Perfection. This 12” has been very well looked after as part of my personal record collection over the last 30 years and is still in great condition today. The sleeve has some very minor edge wear, but is still in excellent condition. Please take the time to scroll through all of the photos above to view any highlighted imperfections. The spine is still in tact and fully readable (see pictures) and the sleeve has no seam splits. There is some very minor age related foxing on the inside of the sleeve that you can also see in the final photo, it’s not visible from the outside unless you look into the sleeve. It comes with the original plain white poly lined inner sleeve that has protected the vinyl from paper withdrawal scratches over the years and kept it in great condition.
The vinyl is in great condition too with the dead wax etched, ‘Porky Prime Cut’ which denotes this was cut by the legendary mastering engineer, George Peckham. When held under a powerful bright LED light I can detect a few superficial surface marks but absolutely nothing here impacts the play. I have just cleaned both sides in my professional vacuum record cleaning machine with the award winning L'Art Du Son fluid so it’s now free from any dust and static and in the best possible condition ready for the new owner to enjoy. I also just test played it all the way through on both sides on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with Ortefon 2M Blue stylus. The vinyl sits perfectly flat on the deck and plays through beautifully with barely a hint of surface noise on the run ins and absolutely no skipping, sticking or jumping. Sounds awesome still and in lovely condition for a 30 odd year old record.
I will post to the buyer packaged well so that no damage will come to it in transit.
