This is an Original First UK Pressing from 1970 on the Spiral Vertigo Record Label the most collectable record label in the world of Affinity by Affinity featuring the incredibly underrated voice of the stunningly beautiful Linda Hoyle. There has always to my mind been a world shortage of GENUINE Rock Chic`s and back in the early 70s we had one of the finest ever produced right here in our own back garden, how did we ever let this talent slide through our hands to nowhere ? Radio 1 and the Old Grey Whistle Test have a lot to answer for....
The condition of this item is STUNNING throughout surely this is your final upgrader.
This gatefold sleeve was never laminated so most carry some damage no signs of damage anywhere on this item. The outer panels of the sleeve are in incredible condition spotlessly clean throughout the colours are bright and vibrant with no dulling anywhere. The spine is perfectly square all the way and the spinal writings are totally undamaged and fully legible. The inside of this gatefold is also flawless and impossible to fault. Incredibly the sleeve has no signs of ring wear so I don`t believe this sleeve has ever housed the record certainly not in the 25 years I have owned the record. The original inner sleeve is present it has slight discolouration due to light also a previous owner has written the catalogue number on it which is the only criticism of this item. The cellophane it still very firmly attached. Double click the pictures and have a look at the corners of this album jacket. Razor sharp with not a ding in sight. Incredible. The sleeve grades as MINT MINUS.
The Record.
Side A record label shows no signs of play at all and is in impeccable STUNNING condition. The B side record label with the song titles on is spotlessly clean and impossible to fault. Under a bright spotlight I managed to find 3 of the lightest possible spindle trails that are a few mm long. Its my guess this side has been played a maximum of 5 times by a very careful owner. Both sides of the vinyl display the highest lustre sheen possible it shimmers like mirror, beautiful. I have looked and looked and there are no hairlines this is as close to mint as possible I think this is the best conditioned record of this age I have ever seen. The playback of this album is truly astounding. No skips jumps or sticking. No hissing there is no outside interference at all. If you are new to collecting Vertigo records youtube this album. Its a corker. Try I wonder if I care as much, its an anthem. Mr Joy wow a very naughty song I am not usually one for covers but this version of All along the watchtower its right up there. The album is graded as MINT MINUS. Surely a final upgrader you would be very hard pushed to find a better copy.
