I am the original owner of this set. It has been played through entirely perhaps 3 times on my calibrated VPI turntable. All of the disks appear and will play as new! Extremely clean set of single-sided disks. This is very dynamic music and it was superbly captured in the golden era of stereo recording. I love this set dearly but am satisfied with my 33 1/3 rpm set so it is time for someone else to enjoy this. The 45 rpm fidelity is astonishing here. Words are not enough!!!
Covers: VG
ALL of the gatefold covers have seam splits as pictured; two at the top, two at the bottom. The covers were packed rather loosely in the boxes direct from Classic Records at the time of release and these splits were a very common and unfortunate occurrence. The fronts, backs and interiors of all the jackets however are in immaculate condition. I will pack the disks outside the covers to avoid any further damage during shipping.
Box: VG
There is general light wear(dings, scuffs) to the outer box but it remains in completely solid condition and will safely hold the cover and disks for years to come.
Buy confidently. I have been collecting vinyl for most of my life and am meticulous with record care. Any defects will be noted to the best of my ability. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding/buying. The nature of analogue records leaves much room for interpretation, as you know.
