Description
Hi! You are bidding on a two album set of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The set was released in 1958 by Argo Records, a division of Decca Records, catalog number ZTA 501-2. Both records are in very good condition, with no skips or scratches. There are no pops, but light surface noise at the beginning of side three. The presentation box is in very good condition, and retains its original gloss. The albums are in their original Decca protective sleeves.
The part of Alice is played by Jane Asher, who later gained fame when she was engaged to Paul McCartney. She is also the sister of Peter Asher, of Peter and Gordon. Ironically, the albums were recorded by Decca Records, later made famous by declining to sign The Beatles.
For being 63 years old, the albums and presentation box are in remarkably good condition. The classic story is brought to you in its entirety, although it would help to have read the book first.
