Description
This is an original, very rare, near mint condition, hexagon shaped "Andromeda Strain" electronic soundtrack LP. It was issued by Kapp Records U.S. in 1971. The very unusual album jacket is in excellent condition, no rips, tears or split seams. The jacket is made up of six foil covered flaps that hold the record in place. Inside the flaps are photo stills from the movie. The flaps are mounted on a 12" x 12" foil covered cardboard that has the album title and Kapp Records logo on the front. The back of the cardboard has red and blue swirls as a background and the album title in silver. Included is the original instruction sheet on how to re-fold the flaps. The hexagon shaped record has a black custom Kapp Records label. There are no stickers or writing on the labels. The record comes in a plastic inner sleeve that has a sticker that reads "Warning Due To The Unusual Shape Of This Record, Only Use Manual Control On Record Player, Or Needle Damage Will Result".It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has had it filed away since 1971.
