Limited Edition Audiophile. All-Analogue Half Speed Mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original Master Tapes. Proprietary High Quality, Virgin Vinyl, 180 gram Pressing

Beautiful and highly collectable limited edition box set release from audiophile label, Classic Records. Eight one-sided vinyl records pressed on 180 Gram vinyl. All-Analogue Half Speed Mastering from the original Master Tapes at 45 RPM.. Box contains eight (8) one-sided, 45 RPM discs plus the original gatefold sleeve inside.

Condition: Unsealed box has VERY(!) light shelf wear. This box was given as a gift and has been packed away, unplayed, for many years. All eight records are in like new, never played, condition.

Review: Hands down, one of the greatest festival recordings ever. The dates: September 8-10, 1972. The place: Otis Spam Memorial Field, Anne Arbor, Michigan. The performers recorded: Muddy Waters,Howlin' Wolf with Hubert Sumlin, Otis Rush, Magic Sam, Freddie King, Luther Allison, Hound Dog Taylor, Koko Taylor with Willie Dixon, Bobby Blue, and Sun Ra & His Solar Myth. An incredible three days of powerful music for the 15,000 plus in attendance that hopefully someday will be revisited with the full sets by each artist including those who also performed, but are not represented in this LP, like Miles Davis, Pharaoh Sanders, and Lightnin' Slim.
