Blue label with silver text, deep groove. Laurie sings 10 tunes. Some track information is as follows. From 1956, on 2 tracks she is accompanied by Buddy Lucas, tenor sax; Budd Johnson, baritone sax; Kelly Owens, piano; Mickey Baker, guitar; Ed Sneed, bass; Sol Hall, drums. From 1957 on 2 tracks she is accompanied by Hilton Jefferson, George Dorsey, alto sax; Count Hastings, Budd Johnson, tenor sax; Dave McRae, baritone sax; Kelly Owens, piano; Kenny Burrell, guitar; Bill Pemberton, bass; Panama Francis, drums. On 2 tracks, the personnel is same as above but "Skeets" Best, guitar and Carl Pruitt, bass replacing Burrell and Pemberton. I was unable to find personnel for the other tunes. Very rare.
Cover: VG 7" split on the top edge; 1" split on the bottom edge. Light to moderate aging on the back cover. Light soil on the back cover from ordinary handling. Fine quality front cover.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are several, very light surface rub marks on both sides. There are only a few clicks on Side 2. No audible noise on Side 1. Moderately heavy vinyl. Audibly checked.
