Description
Aretha Franklin was an American singer, songwriter, pianist, and civil rights activist. Her father was a minister in Detroit, Michigan, where Franklin began her career as a child singing gospel at his church. By the end of the 1960's, Aretha had become known as the 'Queen of Soul'. "This Girl's In Love With You" is her sixteenth studio album. Paul McCartney sent her a demo song, 'Let It Be'. Her version of The Beatles 'Let It Be' was the first commercially issued (before The Beatles). Talk about singing from the depths of your soul, her voice is truly a gift!
