Now that summer is over it's time to list a few more Arizona records that have been collecting dust in The Barn. HTF copy of Killer Arizona Wild Garage Rockabilly by THE DOOR NOBS "Hi-Fi Baby" (2:28) b/w "I Need Your Lovin, Babe" (2:37) on Viv #10. This is the better known lavender, second label version that Loy Clingman at Viv Records made. HEAR AUDIO CLIP FROM THIS RECORD ABOVE. There is No Reserve. Vinyl condition: Beautiful VG++, a few very light scuffs. Labels condition: Very nice VG+(+) sol/small stamp. See scans.
And now some history....Recorded at the Viv Studio by Loy Clingman on 8/11/1965. Band members: Floyd Westfall: guitar/vocals; Jerry Westfall; Guitar/vocals; Michael Manguso (13 years old at the time): drums; Donald Green: Guitar. From North High. In a Republic article (12/9/65) they are spelled Doorknobs and members are listed as: F & J Westfall, Greer Cook, Ken Mulholland, & Johnny Messett. On the "Desperate Rock and Roll Vol. 3" boot CD 2006 and on Flame boot disc "Desperate Rock 'n' Roll Vol. 4." Also a boot 45 pressing. The record was pressed (1000?) at Wakefield Manufacturing in Phoenix, in September of 1966, House #sjw 7230.
