Description

Rarely available and in nice condition, is this original 1955 Clef records pressing of the Art Tatum, Roy Eldridge, Alvin Stoller, John Simmons Quartet.


Supervised by the legendary Norman Granz.

COVER EX

This classic cover presents beautifully. Just a tiny hint of ringwear on the front, and ever so slightly more pronounced on the back. Essentially no shelfware, and no seams or splits at all. Please do see all the images.


VINYL VG

Visually graded, and spot play graded each track. This record is a bit difficult to grade… listening on my vintage Sansui SR-717 with the venerable AT 95E cartridge, I would probably grade it a (weak) VG+. Switching to my Ortofon 2M Bronze, more surface noise was evident; much closer to VG. Let’s call this a very solid VG; a nice listenable copy!
