Description
Disguised as the Ariel Dance Orchestra, Arthur Rosebery and his Orchestra play two pretty and hot tunes, "The Hollow of A Hill" (take 1) and "Sing A Little Love Song" (take 2), on Ariel 4422. Both sides are first-class hot dance from Parlophone masters. Trumpeter Max Goldberg and trombonist Frank Coughlan contribute short but *great* solos and obbligatos. "Hollow" is one of the rarer Rosebery records.
Arthur Rosebery (p, voc, a, dir); Max Goldberg and another (tp); Frank Coughlan (tb); Doug Bastin (tp, cl, as); Bob Wise (cl, as); Reg Pink (ts); Les Julian (vn); Jack Stevens (bj); Jim Risley (bb, sb, bsx); Barry Mill (p); Len Lees (d, voc). Recorded in London on July 12, 1929. If you look closely, you can find this very copy of the record on YouTube.
This record is in V+ condition generally, with a few scratches that tick at the beginning of "Hollow."
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
