Description
I'm back with a nice auction of 50's blues, R&B and doo-wop 45's. I'm clearing out a couple of boxes so this one is mainly Checker/Chess, Atlantic and a handful of Vee-Jay Promos. There's a nice handful of more mainstream artists, but very high grade copies.

Format: 45 rpm 7" vinyl record
Year: 1952
Notes: Yellow label first pressing without the fan logo. This is a tough to find record by this Harlem group that just didn't really hit back in their day, but has been rediscovered since. A-side is a gorgeous ballad. The B-side leans a little more into the group's R&B side. Both of these are great tracks
Record Condition: VG+, The vinyl itself is in nice shape & plays very well. There is a bit of sleeve rash, it's very fine though (see pic) and doens't affect play. Very clean with good original gloss, but there is some very light hazing in a couple of spots due to liquid exposure. Plays great with excellent sound, very clear - no skips, pops, ticks, etc. Labels have some very light scuffing, but not too bad. No writing/tears/discoloration. A very nice copy. Right on the line of VG/VG+ cosmetically, but solid VG+ play grade, so I'm keeping it at the low end of VG+ overall.
Sleeve Condition: G, sleeve is there but that's about it. The paper is brittle and the glue that holds it together has come apart. Corner is chipped off, but this is the actual sleeve this particular record came in.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested.
