Description
Audiophile recording using Mark Levinson amplification (from Bruel & Kjaer Microphones and to a Stellavox half track tape machine) in this Music for Flute Bass & Hapsichord or Piano from the Miami Chamber Trio. Works by Mozart, Handel, Bruch, Debussy & Varese (The two of these are unaccompanied flute) & Ogihara - arrangements of Japanese folk songs, beautiful and effective here. Wonderful immediacy to the sound of these, with the use of bass as continuo would have been common in the earlier works, rounding out the sound nicely and showing off good speakers very nicely.
This was recorded in 1976 and is minimal path analogue on to 30ips master tapes, as noted lower down. US Pressing on virgin vinyl mastered using specially designed Mark Levinson Audio Systems equipment. to quote the history "his hand-built stereo components soon became a reference standard within the consumer-audio industry. These pieces were not designed to a price point but rather created to overcome any known limitations in playback. As he told Adrian Low, president of Audio Excellence, in a 2009 interview, “Dick [Burwen] gave me the concept of using the highest quality of engineering, parts and materials in the service of music reproduction.”
