BARBARA LEA: "BARBARA LEA WITH THE JOHNNY WINDHURST QUARTET" LP - On PRESTIGE Records, PRLP 7065. Original 1956 USA MONO vinyl 1st pressing with the classic Yellow & Black DEEP GROOVE labels and the 446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C. address on both labels. RVG etched in the trail-off on both sides. Heavy vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Johnny Windhurst/trumpet, leader; Dick Cary/alto horn; Richard Lowman/piano; Al Casamenti/guitar; Al Hall/bass; Osie Johnson/drums. The thick laminated cardboard cover is in VG+ shape, displays nicely. Small sticker ('Gotham Record Corp. Promotion Manager') at top on back side. 'Not For Sale' & radio station ink stamp on back side and on one label. Occasional edge wear at bottom right. No cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 447 West 50th Street, New York 19, N.Y. The vinyl is in mostly VG+ to VG condition (beautiful high gloss, some light sleeve marks & some thin hairlines). Plays strong with slight background crackling. There are a couple scratch marks contained within the second track on Side 1 that, while somewhat audible, do not affect play very seriously on my turntable. However, if the tracking of your stylus is ultra-sensitive, please do not bid.
