Offered here is the complete Caedmon Records four vinyl record box set of Basil Rathbone reading five stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous sleuth--Sherlock Holmes.
All four records are in perfect mint like-new condition with no signs of wear on any of them. I purchased these new nearly forty years ago. Each has been played one time. Each record jacket is individually protected by a slip-in vinyl cover. Each record disc is protected by a vinyl-lined inner sleeve. Only the outer box containing the set has any wear (minor shelf wear near edges and corners). The outer box still has remnants of the originals cellophane wrap. This set represents the entirety of Basil Rathbone's Holmes readings. The stories are

Jacket notes include writings by such renown Holmesians as Rex Stout, Christopher Morley, and of course, Rathbone himself. After portraying Holmes in fourteen films, who could be better suited to render these dramatic readings than Basil Rathbone? This set has never been released on compact disc. These lp records were usually marketing separately by Caedmon. The complete box set is quite rare.
