Battle of The Bands. Star Records(101) Early surf rock. Rare mid '60s private press LP from Hawaii loaded with reverb and garage bands from the area at a wild live show. 20 tracks by bands like Raiders, Dimensions, Sensations, Infasions, Frolic Five, Rivals, Lepricons, Renegades etc. with titles like "Banzai Wipe Out", "Cruel Sea", "Money", "Journey To The Stars","War Of The Satalites", "Penetration", "Walkin' With Pluto", "Louie Louie", "Misirlou" etc. For your info the Renegades won 1st place, Statics 2nd place and Kona Casuals got 3rd place. On the Star label # SRM-101,  Cover is vg++ or better only showing a touch of ring wear, vinyl is vg++/nm-, I listened to and recorded the lp and it sounds great, the best compilation of  mid 60's surf  garage bands out there. rare and hard to find lp if your a surf garage band collector you will love this lp.....thanks...
