Description

BAUHAUS "Bela Lugosi's Dead," same track listed on both sides. Original US promotional record from MGM/UA, copyright 1979. Sources on the web indicate that this is actually the live version that appeared in the film "The Hunger," though the label does not mention this. Near mint condition--like new. In a plain white sleeve, as issued. Guaranteed to be an authentic first pressing; not a reprint of any kind.

A very rare edition of this classic track, in superb condition. It has been stored carefully since new (I worked in a record store at the time this was issued, and have had it since then). To the best of my recollection, this copy of the record has never been played.

ADDITIONAL INFO: A kind ebay user (Steve--I haven't asked permission to post his ebay name, so I won't) who knows more about this record than I do sent me the following: "Just some information about this item, as I have one of the rare copies. This is an edit of the studio release of this song, and is the only place to find this version. The Hunger used the very common "Press the Eject" version, which which isn't anything to get excited about. So you may sell this best by playing up the "only official release of the edit of the studio recording"; actually their attempt at a radio-friendly release of this song is pretty laughable and should be interesting to any die-hard Bauhaus fan. Hope this helps, Steve" Thank you, Steve.
