Tintagel ,a symphonic poem by Arnold Bax, is the composer's best-known work, and was for some years the only piece by which he was known to many concert-goers. This recording is the earliest, made for HMV in 1928, with New Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eugene Goossens. It was the only recording made during the composer's lifetime.
