     This auction is for "THE BEACH BOYS SMILE SESSIONS 3-D DIE CUT DIORAMA DELUXE BOX SET".   This set has been stored away in its original shipping box since I purchased it new back in October of 2011.  MINT AND SEALED!  The set looks EXACTLY the way I received it fourteen years ago.



     Alright...I'm not going to go into what is on this set, the history and how important to "music" this set is, or how we never thought any or this music would see the light of day.  If you are looking at this auction, you've probably looked at every other auction for this set.  YOU already know everything about it.  I will mainly be dealing with the condition...and honestly, there's not much to tell.  THIS will be the last and only copy you'll ever need.


     I have looked at almost every other copy of this set that is currently for sale on ebay.  Either the price it through the roof, or something is always "wrong" with the sealed box.  The shrink is torn somewhere, or the barcode has been blacked out, etc.  Not here.  Whatever you see is how it looked when I received it.



     So...let's get started!  The first three photographs are of the front cover (#2 & #3 are closeups).  Pic #4 is of the bottom left corner of the diorama.  You can see that there is a small quarter-inch break in the PAPER (not the shrink).  

     I'm not sure if you can see them or not, but there are a series of two lines of "old school" air holes (like you would see on the shrink of vinyl records back in the day) that run across the "OPEN" door sign, and those green curtains that the couple is standing behind in the store windows.  Since I have no picture space left, I can send you a closeup of this area by request, but the airholes were always there.

     Picture #5 is of the entire back cover.



     Photos #6 though #16 show all aspects of the back cover, including the track listing of the CDs, vinyl records, and EPs.  #17 is the back cover corner picture that shows everything that is included in the box.  #18 shows the manufacturing year of 2011, and the Capitol logo.  #19 is of the barcode, and you can see that it is not blacked out.



     Pics #20 - 21 - 22 - 23 are of all the box sides...left, right, top, bottom.  


     The final photograph is of the set sitting in the original shipping box.  When shipped, this will be repacked in plastic, bubble wrap, sandwiched between cardboard, and then DOUBLE-boxed.  Ground Advantage shipping is free, priority would be on your tab (I know which way I would go if I was ordering this gem...).


The end bit...      Back in 2011, I had a nice job, rent was low, I didn't own a damn computer...and all I did on the weekends was read about and listen to music.   A month later, I was unemployed for a year.  Then in 2019, my rent went through the roof, and continued to do so...so now I'm paying double what I used to pay.  Sounds like a million other stories...and I know you're saying "Welcome to my world.".        I don't know know why I never sold this until now.  Brian Wilson passing...possibly.  Knowing I'm getting older and will never sit down to listen to this...never.  (I have all The Beatles Deluxe Box Sets.  You know how many times I've listened to each on of those?  Once.)  So that's the story.
