Description

The Beatles - 'Twist And Shout'. GEP 8882 NI

The Beatles 1963 1st Nigerian pressing of 'Twist And Shout' E.P. These Nigerian pressing are remarkably rare due to their very low pressing run.

Released on the Parlophone label both sides feature 'The Parlophone Co.Ltd....' rim print, 'Made in Nigeria' and 'E.M.I (NIGERIA) LIMITED. The catalog number also has two additional digits GEP 8882 NI to differentiate it from the UK version. These are simply an abbreviation of Nigeria. The vinyl comes housed within the original UK produced flip back sleeve. Due to the very small pressing run for this E.P it was simply far more cost effective to import a quantity of UK sleeves. The rear features an original sticker stating the catalog number and the original price of 14/6.

The Matrix numbers are: (both sides have NO mother, stamper codes and NO tax codes).

Side 2. 7TCE 763-1

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD-/VERY GOOD condition.

Both labels are in VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition to the front and VERY GOOD+ condition to the back with some minor light staining.
