Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for a very rare 1964 stereo 1st press copy of the Beatles 4th LP, Beatles For Sale.
Back in 1964 the stereo format was still very much the underdog. Stereo discs cost more than their mono counterparts and stereophonic record players were still priced up to the point of being a highly expensive luxury. Because of this, the original stereo presses sold in far, far fewer numbers than the mono presses. Only a tiny percentage of the original 1964 1st presses were stereo and, today, are extremely rare and highly collectible!

The cover is holding up okay for its age but is showing some general, light wear and tear. The front cover is pretty clean with just a little rubbing on the laminate and some disc impression. There's some creasing and knocks around the edges and a crease at the bottom right as you can see in the photos above. Top and bottom seams are holding tight with no damage. The spine is holding but has some wear on it with a small paper tear over the word Beatles. No splits, though. There's some wear and laminate creases but overall is looking god with no splits. Inner gatefold is looking pretty clean (albeit browned slightly) with some light creases. Overall, looking nice! Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+
The playing surface has a very nice, crisp shine to it and has some light scuffing, but not that much. There's one slightly heavier looking scuffmark on side 2 at 4 o'clock that runs through the last track and into the deadwax that is just about feelable under the fingernail.

The labels have lovely bright, silver text and have a fair amount of light spindlewear and a little whitening around the centrehole. No writing, tears, stickers or anything, though.

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
