Description
This is the original UK LP by The BEATLES, A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, MONO Very 1st Pressing, on the black and Yellow PARLOPHONE label PMC 1230, with 'PARLOPHONE CO.LTD' rim credits, "SOLD IN THE UK" and "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" label credits. Matrix numbers are, SIDE 1:- XEX 481-3N, SDIE 2:- XEX 482-3N. Stamper codes are, SIDE 1:- 1 / GAM, SIDE 2:- 7 / GTO. Note that to my knowledge this LP's matrix numbers didnot ever end in 1N, 3N indentifies this as a Very 1st Pressing, together with the label typeface, pacifically the large typeface/font used for 'PMC 1230', later pressings used smaller typeface/font.
The original 1964 UK 1st issue Garrod and Lofthouse with flipback cover with 'Patents Pending' credit is in EX+ condition, the laminated front is super clean displaying all its original fresh glossy vibrant colour, their is a few area's of very light lamination creasing, nothing heavy and in no way distracts from the overall lovely clean front. The back lovely and clean, almost snow white, with only a little yellowing to the left hand opening edge, so nice to see a cover this clean on the back!, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits, the spine is lovely and clean and perfectly readable.
The vinyl is in EX+ condition, gleaming with all its original shine and lustre, I have played both sides (very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT-!!!!, playing with super crystal crisp clear clarity!!!!, from start to finish the freshness and brighness of the Mono sound is breathtaking!!!!, no hiss, no pops, simply a wondeful playing vinyl!, STUNNING!
The label's are in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean and fresh, no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindal hole shows little or no wear!, crisp. KT tax code is embossed on side 1's label.
The vinyl is housed in its original 1964 'Use Emitex' die-cut inner sleeve and in MINT- condition!, beautifully clean and fresh, no unwanted writing, no rips, no seam splits.
Now this is what makes this LP RARE, when I carefully removed the vinyl from its cover something very special and * SUPER RARE * gently fell into my lap. A EMI / PARLOPHONE promotional paper insert, roughly A5 size, advertising other LP's that can be bought from 1964 back to 1963. Over 20 years of collecting and trading in vinyl records, this is only the 2nd time iv'e had the pleasure to see one of these inserts!!!, that RARE, only a handful were ever inserted with original Beatles LPs, from late 1963 to 1964. The insert is on quailty white paper with green print, double sided and in MINT- condition, super clean and fresh, no creases, no rips, beautiful. Again this also clarifies that this Hard Day's Night is a very 1st Pressing, only 1st Pressings ( a handful) were issued with this SUPER RARE insert.
Altogther a very nice example of the Beatles, A HARD DAYS'S NIGHT, clean soild cover and a stunningly beautful playing vinyl!!!
