After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. This auction is for an original UK mono 1st pressing of the Beatles' LP, simply titled 'The Beatles'. Commonly known as the White Album.
This is the highly desireable original mono pressing of this legendary Beatles' LP. This was the last original Beatles' album to have a full mono mix (Yellow Submarine was just a stereo fold-down into mono). Subsequantly most of the tracks have both subtle and blatant differences to their stereo counterparts. A website that details some of these differences can be found HERE.
This auction is for just the discs. Unfortunately there's no cover, no original inner sleeves, pictures or poster. They're in pretty good condition though, so if you're looking for an original copy to play (especially if you're trying to pick out the numerous differences between the original mono and stereo mixes of the White Album) then this would be a good buy!.
Disc 1: Has a fair amount of light scuffing along with some slightly heavier looking marks. There're a couple of little scratches that look like they might cause a little click if the disc were to be played..
Disc 2: Has quite a few light scuffmarks over the playing surface along with some slightly heavier marks. Nothing too serious, though and not quite as much as disc 1.

Disc 1 : Both labels are looking a little bit tired, but are clean with a good, crisp colour. Both have some spindlewear and a little whitening around the centrehole.
Disc 2 : Both labels are looking a little tired but, like the first disc, are lcean with no wear or marks and just a little spindlewear and whitening around the centrehole.

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

Due to problems in the past where numerous untracked records I've sent out have 'mysteriously disappeared', I only send records out fully tracked and only to your verified PayPal postal address to comply with eBay and PayPal seller protection policy. Because of this, please don't ask me to dispatch the record to a different address to the one you have listed on PayPal as I will not do this.
The P+P costs given on each auction are for that auction only. If you win more than one auction please wait until I've sent you out an amended invoice to combine postage.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve. Extra sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable and FRAGILE tape used
