Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Extremely Rare 1969 Solid Centre Stereo Press EP with Sold in UK Statement!
In Original 'Stickered' Stereo Cover!
This listing is for an extremely rare 1969 stereo copy of the Beatles double EP 'Magical Mystery Tour'. This is the 1969 stereo press with solid centre, Sold in UK statement on the first disc and has the 'stereo' sticker on the back of the mono sleeve.
In 1969 when mono became completely obsolete and deleted from EMI's catalogue, there were still a very small number of mono sleeves for the Magical Mystery Tour EP. Rather than scrap them these last remaining few had a 'stereo' sticker placed over the top of the mono format and catalogue number on the back. At this time, the 'Sold in UK' statement was being removed from all EMI records. It seems that a tiny run of solid stereo disc 1's had already been manufactured when this decision was made, but before any of the disc 2's were. The result is this impossibly rare 'transition' set where the statement features on disc 1 but not disc 2 (to date no solid stereo disc 2's have ever been discovered with the 'Sold in UK' statement).
Today it is extremely hard to find one of these transitional 1969 copies. The stereo Magical Mystery Tour EPs are, in themselves, very hard to find. But to find one with the 'Sold in UK' statement, solid centre and with the 'stereo' sticker on the sleeve is near-impossible!

The sleeve is holding up very nicely and looks clean all over with just a little, light, creases here and there as you can see in the photos below. Very solid, respectible condition! The sticker is still on tight although an edge looks like it's been peeling back just a little as you can see in the photos below. The booklet is complete and includes the bloe lyric inner. All the pages are clean and free from creases, writing, tears etc and is holding tightly. Inner Sleeve Condition The sleeves are in EX condition. Both are holding fine with no splits or tears of any kind and just a little creasing as you can see in the photos below. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) Disc 1 is in EX condition. The disc has a nice shine to it and looks clean with just some light scuffing here and there. Looking really good!
Disc 2 is in EX- condition. The disc, like disc 1, has a nice shine to it, looks very clean and just has some light scuffing - just verso slightly more noticeable than on disc 1. Looking very nice!
Label Condition The labels on disc 1 are in NM- condition. Both labels are clean with bright, silver text and have no writing, tears etc. There's just a few very faint, spidery little spindleholes and pretty much no wear around the centrehole.The labels on disc 2 are in NM- condition. Again, both labels are clean with bright silver text. No writing, tears etc and with just a few very tiny, spidery light spindlemarks. Top labels!
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

My Regarding Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.price rating
