BEATLES UK – Magical Mystery Tour UK EP – rare solid centre, original stereo.

SMMT-1 - on the original black and silver Parlophone labels.

An original UK very first stereo issue, double EP from 1967, featuring:

1. very hard to find solid centre labels on side one and two, (record one),

2. original first issue ‘Sold in UK’ etc text on each of the labels,

3. original storey booklet / stereo sleeve,

4. original first issue blue lyric sheets in the centre of the sleeve,

5. comes with its two original plain white ‘wavy’ top inner sleeves.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near MINT condition, the sleeve is laminated front and rear, this laminate has virtually no marks or scuffs on it. The corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The spine is in near MINT condition with no wear or creases. The colours of the sleeve are full and fresh and have not faded in anyway. The pages of the booklet are all complete and are in excellent, factory fresh condition. The original first issue blue centre lyric pages are all present and are clean and crisp with no signs of any rusty centre staples. A remarkably well preserved sleeve that has remained fresh, clean and white in colour, it even still smells new !. There are NO tears, splits, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are in excellent++ condition, they are the original plain white ‘wavy top’ inner sleeves. Two really excellent clean, fresh, white sleeves. There are NO tears, splits, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeves.

THE RECORDS: record one, side one and two is in very good condition, record two, sides three and four are in near MINT condition, the condition of the records have been viewed under normal daylight conditions.

The matrix no’s. are:

Side 1 - 7YCE 18435-1 and the mother/stampers are: ‘ 4  R A ’,

Side 2 - 7YCE 18434-2 and the mother/stampers are: ‘5  A M ’,

Side 3 - 7YCE 18436-1 and the mother/stampers are: ‘5  M L’,

Side 4 - 7YCE 18437-1 and the mother/stampers are: ‘6  M G’.

There are the letters ‘ K T ’ stamped onto all of the ‘run-out’ grooves. As mentioned above record one, sides one and two feature rare solid centres, record two, sides three and four have ‘knock out’ centres.

THE AUDIO: record one, sides one and two, the audio is very good, it plays with crackle and some ‘ticks’ can be heard hear and there. Record two, side three and four, the audio is excellent, with just some light crackle to be heard.

THE LABELS: side one is in near MINT condition, side two is in excellent++ condition, side three is in MINT condition and side four is in near MINT condition. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed onto the labels on sides one and four. As this is a very first UK stereo issue all four labels rim text feature ‘The Gramophone’ etc and ‘Sold in UK’ etc text. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
