The BEATLES 45 rpm vinyl record. Vinyl Condition is Goldmine EX. My highest grade. Beautiful vinyl, both labels clean. Basically unplayed! Label split or crease on each side, from factory, common problem with pressing labels at that time. It’s confirmed in USA all the 25 common Beatles Capitol records Hold your hand thru The Long and Winding Road were pressed on Purple labels in 1978, plus 3 later singles, Obladi, Helter skelter, and Sgt Peppers, 28 total Verified! I have all of them. I purchased them in my search for Stereo Beatles singles. (But only Slow down & Matchbox (& Revolution) turned out Stereo from 1978. Good luck trying to find one. Only seen 2 in 10 years looking). There are 3 Purple USA Capitol label series. 1978, 1988, and Cema 1990s. Each has different indicators. This 1978 series is VERY hard to track down, in SHORT SUPPLY compared to ‘88 Starline Series and 90s Cema Series which are generally easy to find. On 1978 Purple singles the “Capitol” logo is larger, printed closer to the center hole. The rim print always starts with “Mfd. by Capitol”. The entire set! Then the 1988 series has a smaller “Capitol” logo, noticably farther from the center hole. And the rim print always starts with “Manufactured by Capitol”, printed in full, not abbreviated. And most ‘88s have “Starline” printed at 10 o’clock on the labels, but not all. About the same group of singles as the 1978 set. But 3-4 different ones. Finally the Purple Label Capitol CEMA set from ‘92-96. About 32 total records pressed, all pressed on colored vinyl (and 3 of 32 on Black vinyl also). About 22 of 32 were Beatles reissues, and another 10 or so were previous Beatles LP songs now issued on 45s in USA for the first time, such as Blackbird, It’s all too much, Hide your love away, Things we said today, Taxman, Lucy in the sky, Here comes the sun, etc. some, like Blackbird, issued for the ONLY time Worldwide anywhere!! It’s a great colorful set to own but getting more and more expensive! Red vinyl Lucy in the sky runs $75, Red vinyl Love me do runs $100, Green vinyl Norwegian wood runs $300, Ouch!, and Black vinyl Taxman runs $400!!! Double Ouch!!! Back to this one: 1978 press of TICKET TO RIDE and YES IT IS, both sides are MONO on this edition. Capitol NEVER issued these 2 in Stereo in USA! BUT.........Capitol Canada did issue Ticket to Ride in Stereo on 1983 Rainbow label, believe it or not!! But not Yes it is. In Mono they are both Common Beatles songs worldwide.
