Very nice copy of this 1964 UK 1st press Beatles classic with impressive MONO sound quality throughout
Label number : PMC 1230 Matrix numbers : XEX 481 - 3N, XEX 482 - 3N Stampers :  2 TD  /  5 GH
The condition of the vinyl is a solid very good plus (VG+) - the vinyl has retained a lovely jet black sheen and remains flat and weighty. In normal daylight each side looks virtually unmarked and it is only with close inspection under a bright light that a few very wispy hairlines and extremely faint paper scuff marks come into view on each side - each non-obvious, non-feelable and appearing to be purely superficial (including a slightly more obvious - but still only identifiable with close inspection in a good light and purely superficial - 1cm hairline on "Can't Buy Me Love") .  Excellent (EX) condition labels with the only blemishes being some small and very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. The "K" and "T" tax codes, synonymous with 1st pressings, are embossed upon the side 2 label.  Very good plus (VG+) condition original 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse front-side laminated flipback outer sleeve with firm and unscuffed edges, firm spine with all spine text intact, well defined right angle corners with minimal rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, flipbacks in great order still, no laminate lift, and all art work, colours, photos and sleeve text remaining in impressively crisp condition with great definition still. The only blemishes are some non-obvious 1cm laminate crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the spine and bottom edge, some occasional and very light browning/age discolouration on the reverse side (slightly more so next to the opening edge), the occasional small and minor light handling/storage mark and a name neatly written in the top left corner of the reverse side. Still remaining fully functional and highly presentable and hard to believe that this sleeve is now 62 years of age!  Again very good plus (VG+) MONO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, or distortion and not a single click in sight - amazing! There is some occasional and very, very light background crackle during some of the intermissions and just the hint of some equally background crackle during the run-in's and run-off's, though nothing sufficent to impinge upon a great listen throughout and for which a proper clean may well rectify. Comes with original "USE EMITEX" die-cut poly-lined inner sleeve with "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" horizontal text, with no splits or tears, barely any creasing and remaining in overall great condition with the only blemishes being some mild age discolouration/browning and a name and LP title hand written into one corner. Note that I always insert the vinyl into a poly-lined plain white sleeve in order to protect the original.
A very nice condition UK very 1st press copy of this Beatles gem with all original components and a great listen from start to finish.
