Description

The initial release of the record was July 1964  - this listed one is probably  from October 1964, due to th MT Tax Code - the first  pressings had the KT Tax Code
The main differentiator of this early pressing, compared to later versions, is the black and yellow Parlophone label with the perimeter rim copyright text: " THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD -  ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURER AND OF THE OWNER OF THE RECORDING WORK RESERVED - UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED " Above the spindle hole the centre text : "SOLD IN THE UK SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS"
COMES WITH ORIGINAL EMITEX INNER SLEEVE
The MT purchase tax code is embossed on one label side. Matrix code is XEX 481-3 N/ XEX 482 - 3 N (see pic) Cover front is laminated, tri flipback and printed by Garrod & Lofthous Ltd. with a medium "MONO"  indicator on the front, top right hand corner
RECORD: EXCELLENT - (some very light & superficial hairlines, nothing deep, serious or disturbing, rich, clear, full sound, rarely a mild noise, plays great with almost no distortion - completley playtested - a pleasure to listen to) SLEEVE : VG + (cornerrub, discoloration on backcover - see pics)
