Beatles * Abbey Road * First UK

RARE!!  LP. Original 1969 UK.

Very earliest FIRST PRESSING!!  Omits “Her Majesty”.

 

Up for auction is this rare edition of the Beatles Abbey Road. Side two label credits Omit “Her Majesty”.

 

 

COVER:   EX: Original. Totally legible spine. No feathering to the record opening. Couple of very light laminate wrinkles. No writing or rips. Lovely top gloss.

 

VINYL:     Still retains its just pressed glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Just a couple of the very lightest stylus touches and a mild scuff on side two which prevents me from grading this higher. I am being critical here. But, it is rare with its label error and an extremely more than respectable copy. Graded; a very strong  Ex -.

 

 

LABELS:   Lovely original dark green Apple. No writing. Just a couple of light spindle trails, otherwise superbly clean.

 

MATRIX NUMBERS:  SIDE ONE:    YEX 749 -2

                                         SIDE TWO:   YEX 750 -1

 

STAMPERS:                 SIDE ONE:     9     MOG

                                        SIDE TWO:    4     ADM

 

INNER SLEEVE:     EX. Plain white as optionally and originally issued.  See RRPG.

 

AUDIO:  As you would expect from vinyl this good. Lovely sounds which just display an odd moment here and there of light static.

 

 

To sum up. This album is definitely a MUST HAVE ALBUM of very good quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection.  The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history  -  and enjoy!!
