THE RARITY OF EPs:-   EPs were popular in the UK from the early 1950s through the late 1960s.  However, they had a few flaws, which makes them especially rare in top condition!!!!  Firstly although they had 'LP type' covers - they were much thinner than LP covers, and as a result they creased and tore easily.  SO IT VERY RARE INDEED TO FIND THIS EP IN TOP CONDITION LIKE THIS ONE IS!!!!  And secondly EPs generally NEVER came with inner sleeves after around 1960.  There were a couple of exceptions - but EMI certainly never bothered with them.  And this means that any record inside an EP cover was directly rubbing against the cardboard interior of the cover.  This means that almost ALL EPs ever made - will have some paper scuffs under light.  This is normal and completely unavoidable with ALL Beatles EPs.  HOWEVER, THE RECORD IN THIS EP HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL - AND COUPLED WITH ITS STUNNING COVER, MAKES THIS EP VERY VERY RARE INDEED (AND ALMOST NEVER SEEN LIKE THIS NOW!)!!!!

THE RARITY OF 'FACTORY SAMPLES':-  'FACTORY SAMPLE' PRESSINGS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (NO MORE THAN A HUNDRED COPIES AT THE VERY MOST!), AND WERE ONLY EVER USED FOR 'IN-HOUSE' USE BY EMI / CAPITOL THEMSELVES (FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES), PUT ON RECORDS EMPLOYEES WANTED TO TAKE HOME (TO PREVENT THEM BEING RETURNED A SHOP IN EXCHANGE FOR MONEY), OR VERY OCCASSIONALLY ONE WAS GIVEN OUT TO 'IMPORTANT VISITORS' TO THE FACTORY - SUCH AS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS FOR EXAMPLE!!!!  'FACTORY SAMPLES' ARE TRULY EXCEPTIONALLY HARD TO FIND TODAY, AS SO FEW WERE EVER MADE!!!!  BARELY ANY 'FACTORY SAMPLE' PRESSINGS OF THIS EP WERE EVER MADE - MAKING THIS EP OF THE UTMOST RARITY!!!!

RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE:-  THIS LP IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE ALL TIME RAREST PRESSING OF THIS EP EVER MADE - WITH A MISPRINTED COVER AND FAR BETTER QUALITY!!!!  EARLIER COVERS FROM THE 1960s HAD TERRIBLE PRINTING QUALITY TO THE COVER FRONT - AND THIS WAS ONLY IMPROVED TO A SUPREMELY HIGH STANDARD IN THE EARLY 1970s, MAKING THIS EP ESSENTIAL TO OWN!!!!  IN FACT, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO SEE THE PICTURE THAT APPEARED ON THIS EP & THE 'WITH THE BEATLES' LP - IN PERFECT PIN SHARP QUALITY (EARLIER COPIES OF THIS EP & ALL COPIES OF THE 'WITH THE BEATLES' LP DON'T HAVE THIS!)!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS THE RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE - IS THAT IT HAS INCORRECT 'MISPRINTED' 'WHITE' COVER TOP!!!!  EARLIER COVERS HAD THIS PART PRINTED IN BRIGHT PRINT - YET FOR SOME REASON THIS 'RAREST PRESSING EVER' HAS IT PRINTED IN WHITE INSTEAD!!!!  THIS ERROR WAS QUICKLY NOTICED AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED - WITH BARELY ANY BEING MADE LIKE THIS!!!!  SO THERE IS NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE ALL TIME RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!

PRESSING:-  EASILY THE RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE OF THIS EP!!!!  IT HAS A 'PUSH-OUT' CENTRE, 'EMI RECORDS' LABEL EDGE TEXT, A 'YELLOW & BLACK' PARLOPHONE LABEL, MISSING 'EXTENDED PLAY' LABEL TEXT, NO 'SOLD IN THE UK' LABEL TEXT, A 'DOUBLE' RIDGE AROUND THE CENTRAL BOSS, 'KT' TAX CODE IN THE RUN OFF GROOVES ON ONE SIDE ONLY, 'HTM' TEXT IN THE RUN OFF GROOVES ON ONE SIDE ONLY, 'FIRST PUBLISHED 1963' DATE ON THE COVER BACK, 'SEMI-CURVED' FLIPBACKS, AND HAS EXTREMELY RARE 1N/2 MATRIX ENDINGS.  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS EP THE RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE - IS THAT IT IS MISPRINTED WITH A 'WHITE' COVER TOP - AND A PERFECTLY PRINTED COVER FRONT PICTURE (ALL OTHER ISSUES DO NOT!)!!!!  AND ALL THIS DATES THIS EP EXACTLY TO 1975 - AND WAS ONLY EVER MADE LIKE THIS FOR A TINY AMOUNT OF TIME ONLY!!!!

SIGNS OF PLAY:-  BARELY ANY - UNDER CLOSE EXAMINATION ONLY 1 OR 2 TINY SPINDLE TRACES CAN BE SEEN - INDICATING  1 OR 2 PLAYS ONLY!

LABELS:-   NM

RECORD GRADING:-   The record is in BRILLIANT condition - and under normal room conditions it looks NM!  Even under light the record looks BRILLIANT and JET BLACK!   There are as expected, a few VERY light hairlines / paper scuffs towards the VERY edges of the record (from storage inside the cover as described in my 'Rarity Of EPs' section above) under light.  Though these are all VERY light indeed, and are almost ALWAYS present on almost ANY EP from the 1960s - even on VERY well cared for examples like this one clearly is!  There is also 2 or 3 surface marks under light - but these are NON sounding and VERY hard to spot!  The record plays SUPERBLY - with NO skips, NO jumps, NO hiss, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO groovewear, NO distortion, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!  The record must grade VG++ if not better.  A very VERY nice record indeed, VERY strictly graded - and has BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!

INNER:-  Beatles EPs never came with an inner sleeve.
